Your First Visit

We understand that you may have mixed feelings about coming to the dentist. That is why we have taken measures in assuring that your dental experience will be as comfortable as possible. To help you alleviate some of your anxieties, we will take you on a short tour of our office.

Our Office

This is our Renton office. You can recognize it by the famous "smiling bushes" in the parking lot.

 Check-in

Please check-in at the front desk and allow us to introduce ourselves.

Paperwork

We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to fill out some paperwork for us. Please read over our Privacy Policies and then give us some information about yourself. We also need your health history in order for us to give you the best care possible.

The Assistant

After your paperwork is completed, please bring it to the front so we can assemble your chart. Take a seat and the assistant will soon be out to get you. After reviewing your health history, the assistant will come and introduce herself to you. You will then be escorted to the x-ray operatory.

X-Rays

X-rays are needed to help the Doctor diagnose any abnormalities. The assistant will cover your chest with a protective apron. She will next place the film and ask you to sit as still as possibe while she takes the radiograph. This process is repeated, the frequency depending on the type of visit and the number of x-rays needed. You will then be taken to another operatory where your cleaning will be done. If you are in for a limited or emergency exam, you will now be seen by the Doctor.

Cleaning

You will be sat in the chair and a bib will be placed. Your teeth will then be cleaned. This can take anywhere between 20-30 minutes, depending on your age and the condition of your teeth.

Exam

After the cleaning the Doctor will come in and introduce himself before he exams your teeth. He will note any existing conditions in your mouth and diagnose any new developments. The assistant will document this in your chart. This type of exam is called a comprehensive exam. Now would be a great time to ask any questions you may have.

In the case of a limited exam, the doctor will look at the tooth that is causing you pain. He will diagnose the problem and give you treatment options.

At this time you will be presented with a treatment plan.

Your Treatment Plan

Using benefit information that your insurance company gives us we calculate your estimated portion for the work that needs to be done. If you do not have insurance, we will give you a treatment plan with our office fees. There may be more than one treatment plan. We will go over the different options you have and determine which plan is best for your oral care and your finances.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

Please take the time to schedule your next appointment with us. That way, it saves you a future phone call. You will recieve a reminder card and we will call you the day before your appointment to confirm. When you schedule for your next cleaning six months out, we will ask you to fill out a postcard that we send you in the mail the month before you are due.

We hope you have a wonderful experience in our office. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your upcoming appointment, please feel free to give us a call!
